Your keys, encrypted end to end

To send push alerts, our server needs to look at your accounts. Here's exactly how that works.

  • Read-only keys. You connect a key that can only look (App Store Connect “Developer” role, or a view-only Google service account).
  • Encrypted on your phone. The key is encrypted with AES-256 and an RSA-4096 key held in AWS KMS before it leaves your device.
  • Stored encrypted. On the server it stays encrypted with AWS KMS, and only the job that checks for changes can decrypt it, in memory.
  • Write keys never leave your phone. Replies and release actions are signed on your device and need Face ID or your screen lock every time.
  • No account, no tracking. No sign-up, no email, no ads, no analytics. Delete everything, on your phone and on the server, from Settings.

Questions

What do I need to connect?

An App Store Connect API key with the Developer role, and optionally a Google Play service account. The setup guide walks through both in a few minutes.

How fast are alerts?

Your accounts are checked every 5 minutes, so most alerts arrive within a few minutes of the change. Public ratings are checked hourly; sales arrive once Apple publishes the daily report.

Can AppStatus Live change anything in my account?

Not with the read key. Actions like replying to a review or pausing a rollout need an optional second key that stays on your phone and asks for Face ID or your screen lock each time.

Is this made by Apple or Google?

No. AppStatus Live is an independent app by a2ra-ms that uses the official App Store Connect and Google Play APIs.
